BOOMBOXX FINALE!!!

Well, it was a nice 7 month stretch of parties!!! I’m pretty proud to have invited such a great list of talented international and canadian djs and performers in a such short period of time: Buraka Som Sistema, Dj /Rupture, Zizek Club, Uproot Andy, Speakerbruiser/Megasoid, Zuzuka Poderasa & Dj Comrade, Bonjay, Radio Radio and many other friends from Montreal! It was also awesome to be able to showcase some of this talent in Quebec City thanks to the support of Le Cercle.

So yes, I’m putting an end to BOOMBOXX, the reason being, I’m moving to Toronto in 2 month. For the last one, I decided to keep it family and bring the shine on some of the djs that will keep doing parties in this magical place called Zoobizarre. I invited my friends of the MASALA radio show / blog to share the decks with me as well as the members of the SUPER AQUA CLUB party! So plenty of guests for my going away to Toronto party! And I want it to be packed as early as possible, so cover is only 5$ and it’s free from 10 to 11! Come early and come buy me a drink on saturday!

Et bien ce fût un bon 7 mois de fêtes!!! Je suis très fier d’avoir pu inviter une telle liste de talent internationaux et canadiens en une si courte période de temps: Buraka Som Sistema, Dj /Rupture, Zizek Club, Uproot Andy, Speakerbruiser/Megasoid, Zuzuka Poderasa & Dj Comrade, Bonjay, Radio Radio et bien d’autres amis de Montreal! Ce fût également super d’avoir pu présenter certains d’entre eux à Québec, grâce au soutien de la salle Le Cercle. Je retourne à Québec le 17 juillet pour le festival d’Eté!

Alors oui je mets un terme à BOOMBOXX, pour la simple raison que je déménage à Toronto dans 2 mois. Pour la dernière, j’ai décidé de faire ça en famille et de donner du shine à quelques uns des djs qui continueront à organiser des fêtes dans cet endroit magique qu’est le Zoobizarre. J’ai invité mes amis de l’émission de radio/blog MASALA ainsi que les membres du SUPER AQUA CLUB! Donc plein d’invités pour my going away to Toronto party! Et je veux que ce soit plein aussi tôt que possible donc l’entrée est à seulement 5$ et c’est gratuit de 22h à 23h! Venez-tôt et venez m’acheter un verre ce samedi!

Un peu de kuduro!

En lisant cet article de presse ce matin comme quoi plusieurs artistes kuduro risquent de se d’être distribué dans le monde, je suis tombé sur cette vidéo pas mal intéressante sur Akwaabmusic. Un morceau particulièrement bien produit de Angre-G, Suga.

Voici une autre vidéo interessante du morceau “Kuduro Dança Angola” avec Speedhy du Congo et de Beud, G Tonixx, Pedro Silva d’Angola. Morceau pas mal intéressant dans la mesure ou il mélange coupé décalé, kuduro et funana avec une touche congolaise! Résultat bien Français tout ça! Il y a même une version Dirty South sur le myspace!
