Filastine à MTL et à Québec! Baile MTL s’exporte

Pour la première fois, Baile MTL va aller faire un tour dans la capitale provinciale et débuter Baile QC! Et Filastine va inaugurer la session. Son live était vraiment époustouflant à Pop Montréal l’année dernière et c’est vraiment à voir!

Vendredi 5 Sept, Baile QC @ Le Cercle: Filastine + Khiasma + Bendude. 8$
Samedi 6 Sept, Baile MTL @ Zoobizarre: Filastine + Khiasma + Bendude. 5$ avant minuit\ 8$ après.

For the first time, Baile MTL will go to Québec City to start Baile QC! Filastine will launch the party. His live set was impressive during Pop Montréal last year. It’s a must see!

Cumbia Callera

J’ai eu la chance de voir le film Cumbia Callera au FFM de Montréal. Le réalisateur du film, René Villareal, est passé dans notre studio pour nous parler de son film, une comédie musicale 100% cumbia qui raconte la vie des jeunes de Monterey au Mexique dans un triangle amoureux!

Champeta Criolla

Like most of you, you are reading many blogs to discover some new sounds and style. A couple of week ago, I’ve downloaded some tracks from that post on the fantastic blog of Africolombia. While doing the last radio show playlist regarding the track of Luis Garcia, Innovacion Criolla, I’ve decided to do some research about that style whitch it blend some kind of Soukous and low-fi elcetro.

Champeta is from poor barrio of Cartagena in Colombia and appear in the 80′s. Today, the genre seem (from here) to be strong and it is really nice to see the influence of dancehall, baile funk and reggaeton.

A little bit explicit, but the track is really nice!
